KoTiX rom for the PX5 devices!
This custom rom is made for all the head units like Witson, Xtrons, Dasaita, etc.. based on the Rockchip PX5 core board.
Because all these brands use the same Core board to make their headunits, the same android firmware can be loaded in to them.
Right now the Customized ROM is available only for android units with 1024*600 display resolution, later on I'll make the 800*480 resolution too.
The ROM is based on September 2018 original MTC firmware and just like my s160 rom, i wanted to make something that is not modified only in the functionality but that it has also an actractive look, different from the original style and different from the other custom firmwares available on xda.
Customization kit for other ROMS
In case somebody would like to have my interface skins on his unit while keeping his preferred custom ROM, I have prepared some special customization kits.
The skin kit will replace in your current rom just the essential files without touching the main ROM files.
I also provide a restore kit that will delete my mods and bring back the original rom files.

Multiple keys in recovery image
To be able to flash any update file, the signature of the file must match the signature keys stored in the recovery image.
Because each rom developer have used his own keys, it's necessary to flash a different recovery image each time you want to flash a different rom.
To avoid this I have assembled a recovery image that include 3 keys sets, one for each rom type (HAL9k, Malaysk and mine).
Once flashed this recovery, you can switch rom more easily
Launcher 3X
I modified the HCT Launcher3 creating my own version of it, the "Launcher3X".
The side left bar can be enable/disabled and it's element selected by user.
The icons can have 3 different styles.
This bar can be also enabled in other screens like Radio, Music,BT etc..
Additional Widgets
As you can see from the pictures the widgets has been skinned but I also created some additional ones with different sizes.
The clock widget has been also resized to match the screen size.
Customizable Status bar
I modified the Status bar using the Nougat icons, the left title is always enabled and have a shine effect. The clock is bigger and can be set on left, center or right position.
All the icons can be enabled/disabled from the Settings->Display->Statusbar menu.
Radio Keypad
In the Radio interface i added a button to set the frequency by numeric keyboard.
The bottom buttons are more finger friendly (less and bigger).
A background animation can be enebled/disabled
Music Pause during calls
The Music player can pause during a phone call and restart playing when call end.
The Playlist view is bigger and the new layout let you see the albumart whle showing the playlist.
Better Layout in Bluetooth menu
All the Bluetooth screens has been slighlty modified to allow a better reading and usage.
I added a button to bottom bar to switch to BT audio screen and another one in BT audio to go to bt settings when not connected.
